Tony Sferrazza
Tony Sferrazza works as both a high school teacher in the Cowichan Valley School District and as a freelancer in video production. Tony has taken an unconventional path to get to where he is today, building on an interdisciplinary foundation made up of various degrees from sports management to environmental sustainability. He’s a curious person. Developing a skillset in video production has been a common thread tying his interests together, as he has spent the last 8 years working with school districts, universities, regional districts and nonprofits to help communicate important messages through video.
In hindsight, film school would have been a great option however Tony has found that navigating work and developing relationships in a number of worlds/sectors has added to his ability to seek out important issues and topics for which to use the power of film to educate.
Tony and his wife Anna are big fans of The Ou, Donovan and Barclay, and have loved collaborating with them since moving to the traditional territory of the Hul’q’umi’num speaking people, more specifically the Cowichan people.
