Australian artists in residence Isobel Rayson & Nick Stranks ruminate on time & place using sculpture and natural found materials. Come meet them in studio and learn about their practice!

Isobel Rayson is an emerging artist based in rural New South Wales, Australia. Isobel graduated from the Australian National University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (First Class Honours) in Sculpture. Isobel has exhibited widely across Australia in a number of group and solo exhibitions and is represented by .M Contemporary Gallery in Sydney, Australia and Boom Gallery in Geelong, Australia.
Nick Stranks was born in Melbourne, Australia. He has exhibited regularly both nationally and internationally since leaving art school. For the past 25 years Nick has managed the Foundry at the Australian National University. He regularly casts commissioned works for artists, national institutions, and private collections. These commissioned works are held in collections such as the National Gallery of Australia, Australian War Memorial, ACT Public Art Collection and the Canberra International Airport. Nick is a lecturer in the Sculpture Workshop at the Australian National University and has a rural studio in Carwoola, New South Wales.
